The missionÌýof Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) is to enhance the quality of student life at º£½Ç»»ÆÞ by empowering members of the community through advising with a developmental approach, educating with a purpose, collaborating with stakeholders, promoting academic success, empowering civic engagement and social justice, advocating for healthy lifestyles, creating lifelong connections, and advancing values-based leadership.

FSL Recruitment & Intake Information

Requirements

º£½Ç»»ÆÞ Fraternity & Sorority Life (º£½Ç»»ÆÞ FSL) established a delayed membership process to better meet the needs of the º£½Ç»»ÆÞ community and FSL members. For students to be eligible, they must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time matriculated undergraduate student;
  • Be in Good Disciplinary Standing with º£½Ç»»ÆÞ;
  • Earned a minimum of 12 credit hours at º£½Ç»»ÆÞ, after high school graduation;
  • Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or Dual-Enrollment credits do not qualify as acceptable credits;
  • Transfer students with 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university are eligibleÌýbut must submit a copy of their transcript from their previous institution to the Associate Director;
  • Have earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Note: Some organizations may have additional or more stringent requirements specific to their membership qualifications.

Fall 2024 IFC Recruitment will occur from September 6Ìý- September 12

Things to know/prepare for:

  • Recommendation Letters are not required.
  • Registration is requiredÌý

Schedule:

  • PNM Orientation/ Meet the IFC is Friday, September 6 from 4-6pm
  • Recruitment September 6Ìý- September 12
  • Bid Day is Thursday, September 12

An underground group is a formerly recognized student organization or group that has lost or been denied university registration or recognition as a consequence of violating theÌýStudent Conduct CodeÌýand/or other university policy. Providing assistance to or in any way perpetuating the misconduct of an Underground Group is a violation of the Student Conduct Code and may led to expulsion from the university.
