At º£½Ç»»ÆÞ, we're extremely proud of our Veteran and Military affiliated students and value their unique perspectives, intellectual diversity, and experience. The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs believes veterans and active service members are more likely to thrive in the state when their families are healthy and resilient. The is designed to mobilize partners across sectors - including education - to meaningfully address issues affecting veteran and military families. Through this initiative, prospective graduate students who are military-connected, or are the spouse or dependent of a military-connected service member, are eligible to be considered for this new Graduate Scholarship for Maryland Veterans and Military Families.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the criteria below and indicate your interest in this scholarship on the admissions application when you apply directly to the graduate program of interest. To waive the admissions application fee, use the following waiver code when prompted by the application: Maryland_Joins_Forces.

• $10,000 tuition scholarship to Maryland military-connected community members (defined as Maryland residents who are: Veterans, current service members, and spouses and children of Veterans or current service members) who are admitted to º£½Ç»»ÆÞ for an eligible graduate degree program.
• The $10,000 tuition scholarship would be disbursed across the four semesters of the degree up to $5,000 per semester, not to exceed $10,000 over the life of the degree, and cannot be combined with the Yellow Ribbon program.
• As a tuition-restricted award, the scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with participation in theÌýYellow Ribbon program at º£½Ç»»ÆÞ.Ìý
• º£½Ç»»ÆÞ will provide an application waiver to Maryland military-connected community members.
